China-Cambodia FTA to take effect on Jan 1 中柬自贸协定1月1日生效
The free trade agreement (FTA) signed between China and Cambodia will take effect on Jan 1, 2022, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).据商务部消息，《中华人民共和国政府和柬埔寨王国政府自由贸易协定》将于2022年1月1日正式生效实施。
The agreement, which was officially signed on Oct 12, 2020, brings the proportion of zero-tariff products in the goods trade between China and the Southeast Asian nation to more than 90% for both countries, the ministry said. In the document, the two countries agreed to open up to each other as much as possible in the service trade sector.
这项协定于2020年10月12日正式签署。根据协定安排，双方货物贸易零关税产品税目比例均达到90%以上，服务贸易市场开放承诺也体现了各自给予自贸伙伴的最高水平。
Meanwhile, the two sides also agreed to deepen cooperation in investment, the Belt and Road Initiative, e-commerce, and economic and technical sectors, according to commerce.
同时，双方还同意加强投资合作，并深入开展"一带一路"倡议、电子商务、经济技术等领域合作。
The FTA is a new milestone in the development of bilateral economic and trade relations, and will help enhance the well-being of enterprises and people of both countries, MOC said.
中柬自贸协定是双边经贸关系发展新的里程碑，将有助于增进两国企业和人民福祉。
