　　Set during the Cultural Revolution (1966-76)， Under the Hawthorn Tree was adapted from Ai Mi's 2007 online novel, which is based on a true story about a young city girl whith a condemned political background, Jing Qiu (Zhou Dongyu)， who falls in love with a young man from a high-profile family, Lao San (Dou Xiao)， when she goes to the countryside to be re-educated。

　　《山楂树之恋》改编自艾米2007年的网络小说，讲述了在文化大革命期间(1966年-1976年)，年轻的城里姑娘静秋(周冬雨饰演)因为家庭成分不好下乡改造，遇到了高干子弟老三(窦骁饰演)并与之相恋的故事。

　　Starring 17-year-old high school girl Zhou Dongyu and university acting major Dou Xiao, renowned director Zhang Yimou's latest work Under the Hawthorn Tree has gone on general release Wednesday。
