“和谁结婚”是"marry to"还是"marry with"?

01marry (someone)


This is the general verb. It is the time when people come together as husband and wife. Do not say I married with someone. It is not correct. And do not say I married to someone. It is also incorrect.


这是我们通常会用的动词。这是人们作为夫妻结合的这么一个事。不要说我married with某人。这是不正确的。不要说我married to某人。这也是不正确的。


Correct example:I married Sam 3 years ago.

02get married


This talks about the time two people got married. It makes us think of the wedding.

Correct example:I got married.
我结婚了。



03get married to (someone)


We think of who was married in the wedding. Do not say I got married with someone. It is incorrect.

Correct example:I got married to Sam.
我嫁给了山姆。




04be married


This means a state of being. Are you married or are you single?

05be married (to someone)


Also state of being. But who is married to you?


也是在表达状态。但是还多了告诉你结婚对象的信息。


Correct Example:I am married to Sam.
我和山姆结婚了。


Conclusion


When you use to marry or to get married, think about the wedding. When you use to be married, think about the person's life now.


当你想是用marry还是get married时，想想婚礼（当指婚礼时是get marry）。当你使用be married时，想想现在这个人的生活状态。
