米高蒲志苏州总监 Sunny Song 始终坚信无论发生什么都要保持积极态度。了解她作为一名领导者是如何克服所面临的挑战。
Sunny Song, director at Michael Page Suzhou, makes it a point to stay positive no matter what happens. Read on to find out how she overcomes other leadership challenges.

是什么促使你做招聘呢?
What prompted your move into recruiting?
我做招聘是因为这让我有机会与来自不同行业的前辈们共事。而且,米高蒲志具有良好的办公环境和有趣的同事。
I was attracted to the recruitment industry because it provided great opportunities to work closely with senior people from different industries. Michael Page also had a good working environment and interesting colleagues.

请介绍一下你一天的工作。

Please describe a typical day.
早上8点左右,喝一杯美式咖啡,开启一天的工作。然后,与在北美的雇主和求职者通紧急电话。在物色职位候选人之前,我还要处理其他管理事务,参加小组会议或培训课程。下午晚些时候,我会与在欧洲的雇主通电话。7点半下班,我会去健身房或者回家与家人吃饭。
A typical day always starts with a big Americano at around 8am. And then it’s off to conducting urgent calls with clients or candidates who are based in North America. I then have other management and team meetings/training sessions before proceeding to source for candidates. In the late afternoons, I make calls to clients based in Europe. I call it a day after 7.30pm and head to the gym or dinner and drinks with family.

招聘行业的女性领导者会面临一些特殊的挑战吗?你是如何应对这些挑战的? 
Are there any particular challenges that women leaders in recruitment particularly face and how do you overcome them?
人们通常认为,女性领导者比男性领导者更情绪化。为避免上述误解,我尝试做到以下四点:
Women leaders are generally considered more emotional compared their male counterparts. I’ve done the following things to overcome that:


    在报告业绩、分发津贴和奖励升职时,我常常列数字,摆事实。
    Always present numbers and facts when delivering results/bonus/promotions.

    控制个人情绪,无论发生什么事,在办公室都要保持微笑。
    Control my own emotions — no matter what happens, always keep smiling in the office.

    与别人有分歧时,站在对方的角度想想为什么他会有如此的反应。凡事先认真考虑清楚,再试着冷静地交流。
    Put myself in others’ shoes when there is any conflict to understand why the other party responds in a certain manner. Think before talking and try to always talk in a calm way.

    支持团队的各项体育活动,重要的比赛尽量亲身参与。
    Support my team’s sporting activities and make sure that I’m there for important games.

好好工作,好好玩乐。在工作和家庭之间找到平衡,不同角色之间切换自如。
Work hard and play hard. Strike a balance between work and home and know which hat to put on when playing different roles.



个人简介 Biography




Sunny 是米高蒲志苏州办公室的总监,负责江苏和浙江地区许多行业门类的招聘,包括:工程和制造业、财务、人力资源、采购和供应链以及销售。Sunny于2009年加入米高蒲志;2012年,在苏州办事处的筹建过程中发挥了重要作用。她在招聘管理层人才方面积累了很多成功经验。
Sunny is a director at Michael Page Suzhou, overseeing several disciplines including engineering and manufacturing, finance, human resources, procurement and supply chain and sales recruitment in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas. She joined Michael Page in 2009 and played a key role in setting up the Suzhou office in 2012. Sunny has a proven track record of placing executive-level positions.
