could you tell me…（可以告诉我…）

如果想礼貌地向他人询问信息，那么可以用这类基本的句型开头：“could you tell me…（可以告诉我…）” 和 “is there any chance…（有没有可能…）”。来听三组例句。
Examples
Where is the tomato ketchup?

Could you tell me where the tomato ketchup is, please?
（请问可不可以告诉我番茄酱在哪儿？）
Is there some salt?
（还有盐吗？）

在用英语征求对方允许自己做某件事情的时候，为了表现出客气和礼貌，我们可以用这类句型：“would you mind if…（你介不介意…）” 或者 “would it be a problem if…（如果…的话有没有问题？）”。这都是在询问对方，自己想要做的事情是否会给这个人造成不便。

最后，记得说 “please（请）” 和 “thank you” 或者 “thanks（谢谢）”。英国人也会用 “cheers” 和 “ta” 来表示 “感谢你”。
