Development of subsidized rental housing 保障性租赁住房已开工72万套

In the first nine months, 40 cities across the country have started the construction of 720,000 government-subsidized apartment units, accounting for 76.9% of their full-year target of 936,000 units, showed data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
住房和城乡建设部近日公布的数据显示，今年全国40个正在建设保障性租赁住房的城市，计划新筹集保障性租赁住房93.6万套。1-9月，已开工72万套，占全年计划的76.9%。

The cities of Nanjing, Wuxi, Ningbo, Foshan, Changchun and Nanning have met their annual targets of adding government-subsidized rental housing, the ministry said.
其中，南京、无锡、宁波、佛山、长春、南宁等6个城市已完成年度计划。

The subsidized rental housing features low-cost and small apartments built to mainly address the housing demand of new dwellers and young people in big cities.
保障性租赁住房主要面向大城市的无房新市民、青年人，以小户型为主，租金低于同地段同品质市场租赁住房租金。

Developing subsidized rental housing is one of the priorities of housing development, said the housing ministry, adding that initial progress has been made and experience has been accumulated that can be replicated later.
住建部表示，加快发展保障性租赁住房是住房保障工作的重中之重。推动发展保障性租赁住房取得初步成效，形成了一批可复制、可推广的经验。
