China's boundary city sees busy trade with Russia

Trucks pass the Huichun's road port in Huichun, a boundary city in Northeast China's Jilin province on March 22. The port has been busy since its resumption of passenger customs clearance on Jan 8. The city of Huichun, having both a road and a railway ports linking China to many port cities in Russia, is an important node along the Belt and Road. Data shows the total amount of imports and exports from Huichun to Russia was 14 billion yuan ($2.03 billion) in 2022, up 32 percent year-on-year
