　　五岁那年为了音乐偷了生平第一台录音机，六岁时进入Guildhall School of Music(伦敦盖德霍尔音乐学校)学习音乐，十岁已经精通钢琴和小提琴的演奏——这就是Dido，英国一位创作才女。
　　“Thank you”是Dido第一张专辑“No Angel”的成名作。这首歌歌唱了主人公无比糟糕的一天，但是男友的陪伴却使这一天成为了最为美好的一天。歌词创作可谓独具匠心，从截然相反的视角歌颂了爱情的美好。它之所以能给人们带来震动，并不是故事如何伟大，但是生活中的一些小事，简单的温存使人们重温到生活中的点滴感动。生活，就是因为忽略了细节的美好才会变得不尽人意，这正是这首歌用意所在。
　　故事在Dido的笔下娓娓道来，又被她演绎得如此到位。她的声音时而明亮，时而低沉，略带沙哑，再加上极富女人味的心境，使这首歌成为天籁之音。
