　　To go in line with the “1600 Panda World Tour” exhibition currently taking place in Thailand, the Elephant stay at the Royal Elephant Kraal & Village in Ayutthaya deliberately painted the elephants into a panda-like appearance.


　　泰国现在正在进行“1600熊猫世界之旅”，皇家象园村将大象涂成熊猫游览。




　　The bizarre result of the painting has sparked a series of online debates. Some criticized that the elephants are deprived of their uniqueness. Some commented that since both pandas and elephants belong to endangered animals, the elephants deserve no less public awareness than the pandas do.


　　不料这样奇怪的行为引起了网名的争议。有网友表示，泰国本来就是以大象闻名，把它们扮成熊猫也失去泰国的特色;一些网友表示熊猫和大象都是濒危动物，所以大象和熊猫一样应该受到大众的关注。




　　The “1600 Pandas” exhibition by French artist Paulo Grangeon spread the message about environmental preservation. The number of pandas represents one of only 1,600 pandas that are left in the wild.


　　由1600只纸质熊猫组成的熊猫艺术展，提醒人们注意保护生态环境。1600只纸质熊猫的大象代表着自然界仅存的1600只熊猫。
